80 Days Challenge Chat

When does it start?
Thursday April 1st 2010 through June 17th 2010

Who Can Participate?
CHA Employees come by Thursday morning starting April 1st and or send an email to mtyvand@chofa.net

The Plan:
To get your points:
1. 100 points - See Melissa each week - Thursday am if possible.
2. 100 points - Maintain or lose weight(weekly weigh-in)
3. 100 points - Not smoking
4. 100 points - Exercising 90-150 minutes/week
5. 100 points - Eating only 1 "I should not have eaten that" a week!

More information
1.Keep track of your labs/exercise/food intake and blog participants for support and encouragement.

2.Labs – $35 until April 24th (must be fasting)
Just pay Rob Kellegher -this is the CHA health fair special.
End of the challenge follow-up lab at no charge with participation IE: weekly weigh-in.

3.Hospital lunch menu will have calorie information available.

4.Two Teams: Red and Blue

5.Post-prandial blood glucose monitoring for anyone interested.

6.Fitness/Nutrition/Wellness information will be sent out via email.

7.Recommendations for the 80 day challenge:
               a.Goal of 150 minutes of exercise per week
               b.Journal Food and fluid intake
               c.Choose high fiber/whole grain breads, cereals and crackers.
               d.Choose healthy snacks
               e.Choose low-fat dairy products
               f.Watch portion size
               g.Wear your seatbelt
               h.Don’t text while driving
               i.Stop smoking
               j.Manage stress
